The Various Choices To Enjoy For The Outdoor Enthusiast In San Diego

San Diego has one of the best climates and weather of any state in the US. It is typically sunny and in the 70's year round making it a perfect place to enjoy outdoor activities and sports. This article will look into some of the great outdoor activities available in San Diego. It will look into all kinds of outdoor activities and sports like hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing to going to San Diego kayak rental and doing some Oceanside sea kayaking in the ocean. Other things will be to do some fishing off a pier or to view the migration of the gray whales. Whether you want to increase your heart rate through hard exercise, see amazing things in nature or get the thrill of a lifetime participating in an adrenaline pumping adventure, it is all in San Diego to do.

For those people that enjoy being outside and have a great appreciation for nature but don't really wish to work up a sweat doing it, there are a few great things to do. One thing is to do Pier fishing. There are many long piers in California and San Diego has a great one. Just be sure to get a fishing permit first. Another fun thing to do is go whale watching. This area is one of the points where the gray whales go on their migration to Baja California where they give birth to their calves in the safer water.

If you are wanting to get some exercise and enjoy participating in some adventure kind of sports and activities, then go to the nearby Mission Trails Regional Park. This is a great park with that is enormous and has exciting mountain bike trails in addition to all levels of hiking and rock climbing spots. If you are in good shape, test yourself by attempting to hike up Cowles Mountain for a breathtaking vista at the peak as your reward. Another fun sport that is not as physically demanding is to head to Morley Field Disc golf and let your frisbees fly on this great disc golf course.

If you are visiting San Diego and do not normally live near the water, you may want to participate in some water activities. They have a couple of surfing schools located here and some are focused on teaching only kids or women only allowing those groups with a less intimidating experience to try to surf for the first time. Another great activity is to rent a kayak and go exploring of the area in that. If you have never been sea kayaking, then you may want to take a class or go on a group tour to feel a bit more comfortable.

If you are an adrenaline junkie who loves the outside type of activities, then maybe you want to head to the top of the cliffs that look down on the Pacific Ocean for a great thrill. You can go hang gliding or parasailing off some of the cliffs with a business that ensures your safety and fun.
